We Just called in the Punchbowl for some early evening Food and a Beer! All 4 of us had Great Food and we highly recommended the Cartmel Sticky Toffee Pudding either with Custard or Cream or Ice Cream! Thank You for great meals!
Great location on the main road, just as we needed a break and something to eat. Sunday beef roast was superb; meat was succulent and easy to cut, good selection of veggies and very tasty gravy. Busy for a wet Sunday in January. I believe it's even busier during the summer.
Great atmosphere, easy to find and get back to M6, safe parking, family run marvellous breakfast, rooms were clean and tidy, fairly newly done by the looks. Pool table and dart board, evening meals were good, traditional pub grub, nice walk up the hill across the road great view all the way to the coast, we were lucky with nice afternoon weather

I had a very pleasant experience staying at The Punch Bowl hotel. The rooms were very clean, tidy, and well-maintained, which made the stay comfortable and relaxing. The hotel is easily accessible via the M6 motorway, making it a convenient stop for travelers. The environment is lovely and peaceful, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The staff were extremely friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. If anyone is planning to visit the Lake District area, this is definitely a great place to stay. Highly recommended for comfort, cleanliness, and excellent service!
Such a lovely welcoming little pub, made us feel so comfortable and the lovely lady gave our dogs lots of treats and water also had a great game of pool and darts! definitely recommend
This is a regular for my gran, and the family when visiting her. Yesturday we went as a large family party to celebrate her birthday. As always the food was amazing and the services was faultless. Staff are very friendly and accomadating, and go above and beyond especially helping keep the youngster entertained. Would like to thank them on behalf of my gran and the family for a another lovely afternoon and we will of course be seeing them again soon.
